“Christianity and Culture Series: Claude Monet”
November 4th, 2009
From wikipedia.com: Oscar-Claude Monet or Claude Oscar Monet (14 November 1840 – 5 December 1926)[1] was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement’s philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting.[2]
What are our perceptions when it comes to nature? Do we have eyes to see “God in all things?” This sermon will most likely involve some slides from our big family trip in England and Scotland and some slides of Monet’s Trouée de soleil dans le brouillard, Houses of Parliament, London, Sun Breaking Through the Fog, 1904, Musée d’Orsay, Paris Genesis 1: 1-4 4-25
Future power point of slides will be here soon.
