“Our Witness: Words of Wisdom or Words of Woe?”

Words have Power and Longevity. Two leaders, John F. Kennedy and Moses were revered leaders of their people. They are a testament that words truly make a difference!

This month marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. A small percentage of our population remembers this tragic and tearful event. JFK’s words still live on today. His famous quote, “ask not what your country can do for you–ask what you can do for your country.” still resonates today and is admired by many.

Moses was an 80 year old, reluctant leader of his people but followed God’s words.  In turn, his people followed his Words.

Bullying has become a serious problem in our schools where words of woe have gotten out of hand. Words of compassion and forgiveness are the essence of our faith. What are your words doing? Are they words of woe or compassion? How do you fit into God’s plan?
