Reading: Psalm 103:1-5
Title: Lest We Forget!
Memorial Day is a day & time for remembering those who have served our country in uniform. And a time to be thankful for their service and sacrifice. But we also need to be in remembrance of the One who gave His all for our eternal Salvation – Jesus our Savior – the Son of God.
Rudyard Kipling penned some mighty words when he wrote his famous poem: “God of our Fathers, Known of Old”. The words of the final verse still are a message to us today: “Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget, Lest we forget”.
So, let us remember so that we will not forget all that has been sacrificed for our freedom and our eternal salvation!
