Matthew is the only gospel writer who records that something significant registered on the Richter Scale the morning of the resurrection. But this earthquake was not like the one that Japan is still reeling from 5 years ago. THIS one communicates that even the natural world can’t help but to say: Jesus ALIVE makes a difference! So the question for those gathered today becomes: What difference does Jesus alive make in us…for us? Where do we see the seismic activity of God boiling up in our lives and community and want to give thanks? Where do we WANT God to shake things up…where do we need him to make a difference…but most importantly where can we make room for miracles!
