Invitations from God

God invites us to “follow Me,” to “rest,” to“weep with those who weep”, to “abide in Me”, to “pick up your cross.” What do we make of these invitations? Accepting and declining invitations shapes our life…in our work, our families, with God. Join us to study Adele Calhoun’s “Invitations from God: Accepting God’s Offer to Rest, Weep, Forgive, Wait, Remember, & More.” Books will be available the end of October for only $8.
This week is on Chapter 4, God’s invitation to rest.
Sunday Seminars for Adults continues this Sunday, December 8th, in The Well (head out the sanctuary, bottom of the stairs) between services, 9:45-10:45. We are studying Adele Calhoun’s Book, Invitations from God: Accepting God’s Offer to Rest, Weep, Forgive, Wait, Remember, and More. We’re supplementing this with videos from Rob Bell’s popular NOOMA DVD series, as they relate to the week’s chapter. Come join us, even if you haven’t been reading the book—our discussions have been terrific so far!
