Israel’s story is a long story about all the times Israel broke its promises to God and went off in the wrong direction, lusted after false Gods, disobeyed the commands of God. So is OUR story with God. But…not so with God. God is faithful…no matter what… God promises to us are binding and unchanging. God’s call, calling you to be a disciple of Jesus, continues despite your failures to live up to your call. And those promises are the only hope we have in life and in death.
