Portrait of a Beatitude

1/29/22 Matthew 5.1-12   Portrait of a Beatitude Suppose you could you combine the personality traits of the beatitudes and put them into one person. What would Mr. or  Ms. Beatitude look like? Somehow, he or she would reveal that Jesus, to paraphrase one  writer has not come to establish just one more political kingdom in which the powerful  in, the confident grin, and the rich pull all the strings. He has come to usher in a new  order where the last are first and where the truly excellent are the ones who get sneered at by the rest of the world.
